KT RECEIVES CALLS ABOUT SCAMMERS
The KT Home Management Team have been inundated with telephone calls from local residents stating that they have been telemarketed by a/c companies offering cheap tune-ups, only to be told that they need excesive repairs, or even replacement, of their central heating and cooling systems.
Kevin Violette, President of KT Management, states that this scam has been active for years in the industry, and people should be wary of any offer that sounds "too good to be true". "At the price of todays fuel, it should stand to reason that there is no way a firm can come to your home for as little as $29.95 and thoroughly clean anything", said Kevin. "Most usually all they want to do is get their foot in your door to sell you a load of un-necessary items, or possibly even a new piece of equipment".
KT recommends that anyone telemarketed for a cheap cleaning realize that they just aren't getting much and discontinue the call. Those told that they need extensive work should ALWAYS get a second opinion.
KT OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR THE
